Andy Teng Secures GUKPT Victory

23-year-old online poker pro, Andy Teng, used his chance and had beaten 226 other poker players at the G Casino on the Isle of Thanet in Kent last wekend. By the way, this was This was 8th leg of the Grosvenor U.K. Poker Tour. No doubts it was a hard fight for Andy, as he also had beaten his fellow poker mate Jamie Brown during the heads-up, to become the 18th U.K. Poker Tour Main Event winner!

The heads-up was very interesting. Two fellows, two big poker fishes. And even though before the heads-up started, the outcome seemed to be already predicted in Jamies’ favor, as he was leading in chip count - he had $1.8 million in chips, while Andy had only $400,000. But online poker is not always about the numbers, as you never know which cards you will get.

Back to the “fight” Teng fought back strong, doubling up a flush versus Brown, and then after some hours, the game finally came to head!

Andy raised holding pocket 8’s, Brown moved all-in with pocket fours. Teng called, and Brown got smacked and beaten by Andy’s pocket eights. This last hand brought victory in U.K. Poker tour Main Event and a £68,380 first place prize.
