BlackJack Robin Hood in Las Vegas

I know, this may sound strange, and not really related to poker, but this was something that caught my eye. There is this “new” Robin Hood in Las Vegas, who will take money from rich casinos and give them to poor Americans.

Sounds really strange in 21stcentury, but I guess it was OK in the past, when the real Robin Hood was helping poor people. Today, there is new Robin Hood, instead of stealing from rich people, he plays blackjack at casino. The blackjack player preferred to stay anonymous, for people not to think he’s is doing this to be some sort of celebrity, his doing this for good, which is really hard to believe in our days, but this is true.

He decided to help some family in need of financial help. The deadline is 15 of September. Any family can sign-up and post a video or photo and explain, why you think you need that money. The best candidates he says, are family’s who were doing good, until something bad happened, and who own from $25,000 to $50,000 in debt.

He’s promising he will give half of what the owe, no matter if he looses or wins at the blackjack table, but he is pretty much sure he will win and pay the whole debt for the family. He swears he doesn’t count cards or cheat in any way, he just says he’s very good at this game. He also adds : “it’s all about believing in win…”.

Why does he does it, here is what Robin Hood is saying:

I’m a common guy and I’ve been through it in life and I like to do nice things for people. I want to be remembered for the nice things I’ve done.”

All in-need families can easily sign-up at his official website RobinHood702.com, 702 is by the way area code of Las Vegas.

What can I say, nice guy, doing nice things, hopefully we’ll more of this type of people in future.

  2. I started having heart failure in 1999 and wound up loosing my home and cars, after filing bankrupcy in 2001. I’m unemployed from the construction field, just found out that I have blockage in my heart, and not sure what the Dr. is going to want to do. I have a pace maker already and this has reduced the employer field. I’m behind on my house note and pray this heart of mine won’t keep me from working, as I would hate to loose this house too. But I’ll let the chips fall where they may as I’ve learned after passing away twice that things are not of importance. God is. The Love of your brother shown by this act by this man called Robin Hood has impressed me and I only wish the rest of the world was as this man is. May God truly continue to bless him and walk with him and I thank My God for alowing me to be blessed with knowing there is good in this world.

Thank You, Robin Hood & May God Bless You Always,
