bwin Attacks Bulgaria

While North America is suffering from economic crisis and many people and politicians are trying to find a way to ban online gambling, including online poker (they will fail of course), bwin is expanding steadily and slowly. This time it is Bulgaria!

For this time, bwin decided to target European countries, and their target for the near future is Bulgaria. They hope to enter market successfully, and soon will launch a Bulgarian poker website. I suppose bwin chose Bulgaria, as they have had pretty solid user database from Bulgaria. So basically, they decided to launch a dedicated website, fully localized, so all players from Bulgaria would prefer bwin over other poker sites. Here is what their press officer Kevin O’Neal says:

“Bulgarian customers have already been able to enjoy our products, only so far everything was in a foreign language for them. Now that the full customization for Bulgaria is completed, we are looking forward to appealing to a broader audience in this promising market.”

The Bulgarian site was launched on October 2nd and not only includes localization, but it also includes support of Bulgarian payment processors, which is a really great step of entering foreign country market. Including new Bulgarian website, bwin now has 22 fully localized sites, which is definitely a good way of expanding into international market.
