Michael Phelps Goes For Bracelet At WSOPE?

Michael Phelps - these days hero of America. Just think about it, he won 8 gold medals! That is a true achievement, especially for a 23 old guy, America should be proud about him. Right after his superb win at Beijing Olympics, in interview, he mentioned he likes to play poker. Obviously it is true, because his team mates said, when Michael has free time, he can spend whole day on computer playing online poker. Michael even said in interview: “It would be cool to play at WSOP with those poker pros”. Right after these words, he got flooded with invites to play in various poker tournament, and I mean it, the guy just got flooded!

He got invited to play at Asian Poker tour (APT) in Macau, which is already started, and as I can say, he denied this invites. Today, another generous offer dropped in to Michael hands. He got invited to play at World Series of Poker European tournament (WSOPE) which will take place in London at the Empire Casino in Leicester Square from 19 September to 2 October.

As you may know, Betfair is the official sponsor of WSOPE. So, to encourage Michael, they actually said, they will pay the required GBP 10,000 buy-in, to play in event. How generous is that? If I would be on Michaels place, I would accept the offer and would try myself in such big poker event. But it’s up to Michael, to decide, whether he will go or not.
