Mohegan Sun Is Opening New 42-Table Poker Room

One of the biggest gaming facilities in the world - Mohegan Sun is looking for a way to expand their facility. And they finally found it, an expansion worth $925 millions!
That is quite a big sum of money I must say, well apparently not for Mohegan Sun. Their new expansion will be called Casino of the Wind.  It is worth $925 millions. The area of this “cheap” Casino of the Wind is 64,000 square foot. The casino will have a 42-table poker room, more than 650 slot machines, and 28 table games.

Here is what President and CEO of Mohegan Sun - Mitchell Etess says:

“We are very excited to reveal Casino of the Wind to the world. The Rockwell Group, who have been our architects since the beginning in 1996, have outdone themselves. This may be their best work yet.”

Now to the best part, due to opening of such huge Casino, for the whole month there will be special events organized,

The special events list includes a poker tournament, with a huge guaranteed prize pool - $750,000 (so far the biggest on the East Coast). Mohegan Sun’s Super Stack Tournament will kick off with qualifying on October 1st, and finals from October 22 till October 26.

In addition to all this, we will see a red carpet! This means many top celebrities are going to check the casino. So you can easily spot your favorite celebrity, going from red carpet to blackjack table.

Judging by all this information, I think the Casino will “top 1″ class. The $750,000 guaranteed pool tournament sounds really awesome and it’s totally worth to check out the casino.
