Now as ChanPoker Closed, Aced.com - Open!

Sad to inform, but as of 21 of August ChanPoker.com is officially closed. They no longer accept deposits, and their online poker clients have been disabled. They have an official statement on their website, which you can read www.chanpoker.com. Too bad, it was a good online poker site.

It was that famous professional poker played - Johnny Chan who launched ChanPoker.com. He was born in China in 1957. Chan moved with his family to Houston, Texas in 1973. When he was 21, he dropped out of university, and moved to Las Vegas, to become a professional gambler.

He won his first WSOP bracelet in 1985 and won $171,000 (that was a large sum of money that times I have to tell you). His last poker success, was in 2005, he won his 10 WSOP bracelet that year. That year he became the first player to win ten World Series of Poker titles. What to say more? He is a poker legend! He dedicated his whole life to poker and it was worth it!

The real reason of ChanPoker.com closure, is kept a secret and I think nobody but them knows that, and they certainly won’t make it public. ChanPoker.com only said, it wasn’t because of money. “We were actually doing very good”.

Now good news!

Aced.com will be live in the next couple of days. They said Aced.com will be on Merge Network, which is very good, because Merge has updated their really great poker software. Currently (as of Sunday, August 24) Aced.com is closed, and you can’t access their website. Let’s hope it will be another good online poker site for us players!
