Poker Players Choose Obama Over McCain
Online poker room Duplicate Poker recently made a survey, about poker players and politics. The target of survey was to find out, which candidate poker players prefer more. The survey showed, that poker players favor Barack Obama over John Mccain.
In the whole survey, more than 1,500 players took part and answered the question, starting from September 2th till 4th. All players who were answering questions in survey were U.S citizens from 32 different states, 87% of questioned people, were men between age 18 and 54.
Of those who answered survey, approximately 1,000 said they will vote for Barack Obama, in the upcoming President election. While, half less, somewhere around 500 players said they will vote for John McCain. Speaking about other factors, 900 participants believe the race will not effect the result of election, though more than 700 people though it would influence the election results.
Why such superiority for Barack Obama you might ask? Well it’s quite easy. If you were following the lately political theater going around politics and online poker, you might know, that Republican Party (John McCain) is strongly against all sort of Internet gambling, including online poker should be banned in United States. They say it ruin many people families and blah blah.
Here is what Duplicate Poker manager says:
“These results are a good indicator of how Americans are processing and reacting to two weeks of orchestrated political theater.”
Well, it’s hard to tell now who will win in the election, but this shows that majority of poker players are for Obama, which is very important in my opinion.
