Republican Party Against Internet Gambling!
The Republican Party made it pretty clear, they are totally against all sorts of internet gambling game list, and that list includes online poker. There were lots of talking and arguing about this point of view, but Republican Party was strong on their target.
Not so long ago, Republican web site was just flooded with comments about their new regulation about internet gambling, including online poker. They received all sorts of comments on their web site, from many online poker players from United States and especially from Poker Players Alliance (PPA). But then, everyone thought a miracle happened. Earlier this week, their platform was changed, and they actually excluded their regulation about internet gambling. But it wasn’t for long…
Just as few hours passed, and their regulations was back in their platform, with such saying:
Millions of Americans suffer from problem or pathological gambling that can destroy families. We support legislation prohibiting gambling over the Internet or in student athletics by student athletes who are participating in competitive sports.
I’m not a a great politician, and I’m not going to tell you who to vote for, but I’m not really sure about what McCain is wanting from all this. Doesn’t he understand that he is loosing very large amount of votes? Because even though many people are unhappy with online poker and internet gambling, most part of them actually play it. Even if a husband is telling his wife how bad internet gambling is, it doesn’t exclude possibility that he’s playing online poker at night, while his wife is sleeping. You know what I mean?
Anyways, let your voice be heard at election at November 4th.
