WCOOP 2008 New Winners
Another year, another World Championship of Online Poker from PokerStars time, this time it’s WCOOP 2008, and here is report from another event day, including those three lucky winners, who got their names (and nicks) in to PokerStars history book.
Monday was a busy day for everyone at PokerStars, including players, who hopefully where trying to include their names in to history of WCOOP and win some cash. Early Tuesday morning, three people accomplished it and claimed their names.
Event 6 $530 No Limit Texas Hold Em
72 returned for the Event 6. It’s just 1% percent of total contestant amount, which is 7,351 players, who started their rush for $3 million money prize and bracelets this Sunday
Back to the Event 6. Poker player from Russian was leading the most time on the table. His nearest competitor wasCalvin23, from United States. Eventually, they eliminated all others and met in the heads-up.
solovka was surpassing his competitor in chip count before the final table started. He had approximately $53,800,000 chips, out of total $73 million chips on table. Unfortunately for Russian player, Calvin23 started slowly and steady building up his chip count.
In the end, solovka moved all-in for $12,500,000 with K-J. Calvin reacted to his all-in with his Q-9. And on the flop nine diamonds dropped.
