WCOOP Starts Today

If some of you don’t know, WCOOP (World Championship of Online Poker) is like the biggest online poker festival in the world. It is hosted every year by PokerStars. The biggest you can win in WCOOP is $10 million Main Event cash prize.

To be eligible to play in WCOOP, you had to qualify through satellites, which PokerStars were organizing through the whole summer.

Don’t only think WCOOP is just another Hold em and a bit of Omaha tournament, like all those tournaments are nowadays, on the contrary, it consists out of 33 events. Many different poker card games to choose from, like: Pot-Limit Five-Card Draw, No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw and many others. The good old No Limit Hold em will also be played at WCOOP, with four events in the start of tournament.

Not only you have a wide choice of games to play, you have also good choice of buy-ins to play on, fitting every players budget. The lowest buy-in you will probably find will be something like $215, while the $320 and $530 buy-in tournaments will be dominating the whole tournament, as there will be lots of them.

Every event has a guaranteed cash pool. The smallest pool prize you can earn is $100,000 on Five-Card-Draw and Razz. Also, organization team of PokerStars promissed, there will be no less than 7 events with prize pool $1 million. And the largest prize, as we already mentioned, will be at Main Event - where the prize will be $10 millions! Not bad, don’t you think so? Considering that the biggest prize won at WSOP was $12 million.
