Yevgeniy Timoshenko Won Asian Poker Tour In Macau

Yevgeniy Timoshenko won 2008 Asian Poker Tour, or APT, which was held in Macau, at Galaxy Starworld Casino. 2008 APT in Macau was a $5,300 buy-in tournament, with $1.5 million guarantee cash prize. In total there were areound 257 poker players from all over the world attending APT in Macau, and Yevgeniy Timoshenkp was the one who outlasted all of them and won the tournament and first prize in cash - $500,000!

There were such famous top professional poker players, as Doyle Brunson (10 WSOP bracelets), Johnny Chan (who is also 10 WSOP bracelets winner), J.C. Tran, David “Chino” Rheem, Todd Brunson, Nam Le, Kenny Tran, Mel Judah and many other players (there was significant amount of poker players from Asia). But Timoshenko was the best that night and won the event.

Yevgeniy Timoshenko is from Ukraine, but currently he lives in United States. He entered the final table with middle stack amount, but he quickly started to gain possession and in the end he won. On the heads-up he was playing with Joon Hee Yea, who had $257,000 in chips, while Timoshenko had $2.3 million. That’s a great achievement for all Ukrainian poker community. You may have noticed, but in recent years, many people from Russian, Ukraine, Latvia and such countries started to participate in big poker tournaments and they started to achieve success.
